Entrepreneurs and new businesses want a piece of the pie as well. As companies move through digital transformation, entrepreneurs have to find a way to stay ahead and stay relevant. Muddu Sudhakar, entrepreneur and executive leader, talked with John Furrier (@furrier) and Stu Miniman (@stu), cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during this week’s VMworld conference about the public cloud. It’s all about the cloud No matter the type of storage or platform companies are using, the public cloud is “here to stay,” according to Sudhakar. Whole workloads are being integrated into the public cloud, and small businesses and entrepreneurs are hopping on the bandwagon. Companies are developing applications that are mobile, agile and capable of machine learning. In this new digital era, entrepreneurs who are willing to dive into “deep learning” are the ones who will survive, explained Sudhakar. Develop your developers It may take an entire IT team to handle a company’s infrastructure, but when dealing with the public cloud businesses have to “embrace the developer,” said Sudhakar. Operating in the cloud space means creating a seamless workflow, and to do that developers have to be treated well, he added. To make the company better, a developer’s job has to be made easier.
