Mike Olson is the President of CLoudera. Olson is in attendance at the Hadoop Strata 2012 Conference. Here, he joins Wikibon Analyst Dave Vellante and SiliconAngle's John Furrier inside theCUBE. Olson seems astounded at the number of people in attendance, wondering out loud what they will do next year, refering to the fact that the attendance at the event more than doubled from 2011 to 2012. "This is the largest venue in New York unless you go to the Javetts Center, which holds 50,000." They move on to discuss the newly disrupted market in data warehouses. Allowing workloads to run on Hadoop makes for simpler analytics, with low cost to the user. Vellante calls this "a real-time benefit."
