Howeverthe media does not always give SAP the credit it deserves. What customers wanted Years agoSAP spoke to the developer community and asked what they wanted in terms of an OpenStack developer ecosystem. The answer was two-fold: to be able to integrate existing applicationsand to be able to extend existing processes. “HANA Cloud Platform is basically an idea that we came up with to solve the biggest problem of complicated application development” said Gupta. Comparisons to Oracle SAP has drawn comparisons to Oraclebut the structure of the system is quite different. After working with HANA for a just a few daysmany customers realized that it works not only on the SAP platformbut off-platform as well.
