As such, it is not wasting any time in developing its vision of how it will compete in the marketplace. Binny Gill, chief architect at Nutanix, and Sunil Potti, chief product and development officer at Nutanix, sat down with Dave Vellante (@dvellante) and Stu Miniman (@stu), cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during the Nutanix .NEXT Conference 2016 event in Las Vegas to talk about the future of the company. A fast, “one-click” enterprise solution At the heart of the Nutanix vision for its enterprise cloud platform is ease-of-use for the end user. Additionally, ensuring its customers are equipped with the proper platform to support their diverse needs is another goal of Nutanix’s business strategy. “It’s become clear what our clarity and long-term vision is, which is essentially provide the Amazon-like experience for the enterprise while enabling seamless mobility between enterprise workloads and public cloud workloads,” said Potti. Fast innovation through structured assembly According to the Nutanix philosophy, being able to quickly create and bring a web scale product to market requires the essential components already be in place and available for the design process. The company has assembled what it feels are the essential building blocks to make this strategy successful. “Fundamentally the building blocks are there,” explained Gill. “Building new services are like that. You just put the blocks together.” The luxury of a smaller customer base With Nutanix being a fairly new, growing company, it does not yet have an extremely large base of customers. In the company’s way of thinking, this is actually helping it develop a better product by allowing it the time to focus on individual customer needs instead of maintaining a sustained profit margin. “It’s between both the luxury of having no incumbency, as well as the luxury of taking the time to build the right product,” said Potti.
