n the cloud business for 10 years, Infor Inc. has garnered 25 million users and over 25,000 customers, with an additional 70,000 customers that can be converted to its cloud services, according to the company. That experience provided Infor with the capabilities to add mission-critical applications to its CloudSuite product, offering the company’s micro-vertical customers with a complete enterprise Cloud solution. Infor SVP of CloudSuite stated in an interview for theCUBE at Inforum last week that, with this new update to CloudSuite, the company is now in a position to keep its existing, loyal customer base and also win business away from its competitors.
In terms of its existing customer base, Pope believes that Infor’s value proposition outweighs the option for customers to select an alternative service. She also mentioned that Infor’s customers are very loyal and love her company’s applications.
At the same time, Infor has the ability to go after net new markets with its CloudSuites platform. Pope feels that the company’s cloud messaging is really resonating and that it has a chance to win some business away from its competitors because the big difference is its strategy to focus on micro-verticals. “Our competition is just not that focused on running mission-critical applications in the Cloud,” said Pope.
