Infor Inc.’s focus on micro-verticals, design, and research and development is “a transformation” that’s “taking the company to the next level,” according to Albert Pang, President of the market research company Apps Run the World Research, Inc.
Pang sees a bright future for Infor if it continues to stay focused on what it does best, especially since his company predicts the cloud applications market to more than double by 2018. Sharing his market insight with SiliconANGLE’s roving news desk, theCUBE, at the recently concluded Inforum conference held annually by Infor, Pang expects revenues from cloud-based enterprise applications are expected to jump to 33 percent from their current 10 percent of the market.
If Infor can a balance between embracing new technologies and helping move legacy companies forward, Pang predicts they will reach an “unmatched level in the traditional ERP market,” overtaking rivals such as Oracle Corp. and SAP SE.
