Leading transformation and innovation for women at Intuit | #GHC15
by Darcie Nolan | Oct 20, 2015
The movement of bringing women up in the tech industry is going strong, and Eileen Fagan, VP of innovation and transformational change programs at Intuit, inc., took some time to talk with John Furrier and Jeff Frick at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing event in Houston, Texas about what is changing and improving, and where we are all headed.
What it’s like to be a woman in tech
Women want to make an impact on the world, and the tech industry is a great place to do that. But, according to Fagan, limits in the way women are viewed, the questions women are asked, and the limits that are placed on them need to be driven forward from the executive level.
From education to roles in business and entrepreneurship, women are rising in tech, she added. The position has come along way, but there are things that intentional companies are trying to do to invite women into the conversation. These companies are seeing the most improvement from when women weren’t in the conversation or very welcome in tech.
