(11:45) #theCUBE #DockerCon #Docker #Kismatic #SiliconANGLE --- --- Changing software methodologies leads to client frustrations | #DockerCon Kismatic, Inc. has been facing some challenges of late. Patrick Reilly, CEO and cofounder of Kismatic, dropped by theCUBE during DockerCon 2015 to discuss these challenges and how the company has been coping with the problems. With different software platforms being developed, Reilly mentioned that his customers have no way of knowing which one will become the most popular. “One of the big frustrations with some of our clients is they didn’t know what to bet on,” he said, adding that it’s impossible to tell who is going to win. Education major challenge With the change in software methodologies, Reilly sites education as one of the major challenges. “The most difficult part for us is the education,” he said, adding that it’s important for clients to be comfortable with the tooling. Also, they need to take a closer look at how they’re building and testing software and learn how to get it to production quicker. As a company, Kismatic has had several successful practices. There is such a high demand for product that Reilly only signs people who are most likely to go into production. Additionally, he gets support from the “container community” and almost considers them part of his business.
