The biggest software boom in history | #DockerCon
by Danielle Gallagher | Jun 28, 2015
DockerCon 2015 in San Francisco showed some interesting trends in computer software. theCUBE hosts John Furrier and Jeff Frick explained that the conference was a reminder of the ever-changing world of technology.
“This is going to be the biggest software boom in history,” Furrier stated.
New rising stars
With so many new players in the game, determining who will have the most success is unpredictable. Furrier believes that the transformation of the Cloud over the past year and a half has brought new “rising stars.” With a strong research and development team, Furrier believes that IBM will have great success.
Frick thought it was interesting when Rick Fast and Steve Hoffman from Orbitz Worldwide, Inc. responded to a question about dealing with changes in the industry. He learned that “they’re adopting new stuff; they’re excited about new stuff, but they’re planning for the shift.”
With so much change, they know they need to be able to move with the times.
