NWN launches new solutions portfolio for delivery in a seamless connectivity platform
BY MARK ALBERTSON
NWN Corp. has a new brand identity.
The provider of managed information-technology solutions for over two decades announced on Tuesday the launch of a new “service as a solution” portfolio designed to offer integrated, cloud-scale capabilities for its customers.
Under a new tagline of “Innovation Delivered,” NWN’s solution offerings include unified communications, security, contact center, device as a service, and advanced technology solutions. The goal is to deliver a unified customer experience across these five areas while leveraging NWN’s extensive intellectual property and partner relationships.
“The company today can deploy any type of networking solutions for customers along with all the connectivity,” said Jim Sullivan (pictured), chief executive officer of NWN. “The big differentiator for NWN is that we have the portal to manage all five environments together into one seamless platform that we can pull the data from.”
Sullivan spoke with Stu Miniman (@stu), host of theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, at theCUBE’s studio in Boston, Massachusetts. They discussed meeting large customer needs, a new management platform, and the importance of providing an interactive experience (see the full interview with transcript here). (* Disclosure below.)
Managing endpoints for 400 agencies
NWN currently has 1,300 customers throughout the U.S., split between large enterprises and state and local education clients. One major customer is the State of California, where the company manages a sizable network.
“For the state of California, we manage over 200,000 endpoints, over 400 agencies,” Sullivan said. “The customer gets an environment that’s stable and secure, deployed and managed by us.”
In addition to the five new integrated solution offerings, NWN also announced a new Experience Management Platform to provide interactive communication, intelligence and analytics for customers in a unified view. Reporting and dashboards for service desks and cyber-response offers users infrastructure management support to deal with the complexities of the IT world.
“How many times have we been in a meeting where a collaboration technology is not really working or the performance is not really there?” Sullivan asked. “It’s not the software; it’s something tied beneath that. NWN can really bridge the two together to have the right networking capability, the right connectivity.”
The NWN platform offers an interactive knowledge base along with a secure technology command center and advanced analytics.
“Our focus is really delivering the solution as a service so the customer has the ability to self provision and interact with pulling all of their own analytics,” Sullivan explained. “It’s a much more interactive relationship than the old-school managed services of the past.”
