(10:00) --- --- Cisco claims number one in Americas; closing in on being number one in the world | #oow15 by R. Danes | Oct 26, 2015 What are the secrets behind tech behemoth Cisco Systems, Inc.‘s success? According to Jim McHugh, VP of product and solutions marketing for Unified Computing Systems (UCS) at Cisco, focusing on client experiences and usability continues to be the crucial metric in how the company analyses its own performance. McHugh sat down with Jeff Frick and Stu Miniman, cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during Oracle OpenWorld 2015 to discuss how the company continues to grow and acquire new partners. McHugh maintained that flexibility in all aspects of working with Cisco and UCS is a huge selling point for clients. “If you make it as easy to migrate on as off, customers trust you. If they trust you, they come to you with business problems,” he said. “We are clearly number one in the Americas. Now we’re closing in on being number one in the world.” Customers demand more flexibility; Cisco responds The Cisco team is utilizing its UCS system to offer businesses the widest array of technological solutions possible. Designed from the beginning to bring together compute, network and storage access, Cisco’s operating systems continue to support anything its users can dream up. The company wants to continue to offer clients freedom to choose whichever platforms work for them. “Whether it’s EMC, NetApp, IBM, Nimble — you go down the line — they plug in really well,” he said. “And more and more, that’s what customers are demanding — more flexibility.” @theCUBE #CiscoUCS
