BMC invests in digital transformation | #BMCDay

At BMC Day Boston 2015, covered by theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, BMC Software, Inc. and its customers talked about their shift movement toward digital services and how this has transformed their businesses.
“The new reality is that we have to move at light speed,” said Bill Berutti, president of performance and availability and cloud management/data center automation at BMC. “A company can be out of business in a year or two if it’s not moving at a fast pace. We’ve got to deliver speed and agility to new digital applications and services that we bring to market, and do it securely, at a high-rated quality and at the right cost.”
Berutti said that BMC aims to bring development and operations together so that both departments can move at a “higher velocity.”
Since becoming a private company about two years ago, Berutti said that BMC also has an opportunity to move with more velocity. “Our board and owners have allowed us to invest a lot of money back into the business,” he said. “And we’re able to do so consistently.”
