Developers comprise a hot commodity amidst the Cloud Wars currently taking place between AWS and the whole of the industry, as Amazon makes its mark in the enterprise. Infrastructure-as-a-Service is a byproduct of a rapidly evolving datacenter, and open source technology is powering the revolt against Amazon. The appeal to developers in this case is increasingly important, considering software's emerging role in the evolved datacenter. And given the recently concluded OpenStack Summit and the upcoming AWS Summit 2013, April's been an especially radical month for the Cloud Wars, presenting theCube a unique opportunity all the same.
The AWS Summit 2013 kicks off this week on April 30, 2013, at the Moscone South in San Francisco, CA. theCube will be there, streaming live broadcasts, interviews and analysis during the entire event. One thing we'll be looking at is how AWS Summit stacks up to the OpenStack Summit, and how Amazon will respond to the bevy of competitors hoping to curb AWS's success in the enterprise space. It's a hyper-scaled race to improve and monetize the growing IaaS space, where unified product portfolios will give vendors the leading edge.
