Backstage at the GSA Annual Awards Gala – the “Oscars of semiconductors” – SiFive CEO Patrick Little joins theCUBE’s John Furrier to celebrate SiFive being named “Most Respected Private Company” and reflect on a standout year in 2025. Little talks about what it means to operate as a private company “in the land of the giants,” how SiFive’s hundreds of customers across nearly every major high-tech player have powered its growth, and why this moment represents an “embarrassment of riches” in terms of opportunity and partnership across the semiconductor ecosyste...Read more

What was the experience of the semiconductor industry in the year 2025?add
>> Okay. I'm John Furrier with theCube. We are here backstage. All the winners are coming through theCUBE. Of course, we're bringing all the action here at the Gala event. It's the Oscars of semiconductors. This is the GSA Annual Awards at the end of the year. As this year was a great year for business, 2026 is going to be massive. Patrick's here. SiFive, they won the Most Respected Private Company. Congratulations. This is awesome.
Patrick Little
>> Thank you.
John Furrier
>> I mean, got your eye on public. Upgrade a little bit, next level. You know? Come on.
Patrick Little
>> It's on the horizon in our vision, for sure. Being a private company is challenging. In the land of the giants, it's hard to go between the legs. But it's just a phenomenal time in tech right now.
John Furrier
>> How was your year, looking back this year, 2025? In terms of the industry, obviously, mainstream has been phenomenal. What's it been like for you?
Patrick Little
>> It's just an embarrassment of riches. It's just there's so much opportunity out there and that our customers, we have hundreds of customers. It's almost every major high-tech company is a customer of ours. And you know what? They treat us wonderfully. They really do. They're a great partner, they're customers. They're great partners. But they have just been such a big part of our success model.
John Furrier
>> Yeah. We're so psyched. CUBE's covering. SiliconAngle's been covering this area for a while. And then cloud, of course, re:Invent just flew in today from Vegas. You're starting to see the cloud ecosystem starting to devour some of that AI infrastructure. And we think there's going to be massive growth coming next year as the AI infrastructure gets better and faster and it's more scalable. I mean, you got scale out, scale in, scale up, scale across, edge. I mean, there's so much action happening.
Patrick Little
>> Well, you heard that part of my speech. Right? I said, "Hey, I know things are moving superfast, but this is the slowest they'll ever move." And that's no joke. Things are moving faster and faster.
John Furrier
>> Patrick, great smile. It's a great night to enjoy and hang out. Thanks for coming by theCUBE. Really appreciate you.
Patrick Little
>> Yeah, yeah. It's fun. This is, may you live in interesting times.
John Furrier
>> Congratulations. We'll see. It's going to be really a wild year. I'm John Furrier with theCUBE. Thanks for watching. All more awards to come off fast and Furious. We'll be right back.
