Introduction and Opening Remarks

11:15

Start Here: A Quick Win for Quantum Readiness

Inventory and risk assessment are important steps for quantum readiness but many organizations struggle to turn that work into action. This session focuses on your best first move: enabling TLS 1.3 and hybrid key exchange (ML-KEM) on priority endpoints. We’ll explain why this matters, what ML-KEM does and does not solve, and what teams need before they begin.

21:18

What, When, and Why: The Global Regulatory and Standards Landscape

As quantum security moves from research into action, standards will ensure interoperability and governments will add compliance requirements. During this session, experts will summarize the latest developments from global standards bodies, and recent government mandates, including Executive Order 14412. We’ll clarify what is ready to use today, what is still evolving, and what organizations should watch next. We’ll also address Merkle Tree Certificates: where they fit, why they matter, and how they might impact your organization.

18:37

Demystifying PQC Complexity

Quantum readiness can stall when teams assume they need every answer before they can act. In this fireside chat, practitioners will unpack common sources of PQC complexity, including algorithm decisions, certificate format questions, and HSM readiness. The discussion will focus on separating real constraints from perceived blockers, identifying practical decisions organizations can make now, and sharing simple strategies for turning early uncertainty into measurable progress.

25:48

Building Quantum Readiness for the Real World

Quantum readiness doesn’t happen in isolation. Customer expectations, strategic partnerships, and technology dependencies all influence how organizations must prepare. In this fireside chat, security leaders from Microsoft and DigiCert will share how ecosystem and customer expectations have shaped their own Customer Zero readiness programs. Attendees will learn how to account for vendor relationships and customer needs as they define and execute plans for quantum readiness.

White Paper Summary: Proof of Concept Results for Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) in Online Services

This document summarizes current information on Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and the results of verifications conducted within our group. The content is subject to change depending on future standardization trends, product implementation status, and changes in the threat environment.

Recommendations for Post-Quantum TLS Migration

The transition from classical to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) in TLS requires decisions in two distinct areas: key exchange (protecting session confidentiality) and authentication (verifying identity via X.509 certificates). These two areas have different deployment characteristics, different maturity of the associated standards, and different risk profiles. They should be planned and evaluated separately.

IETF Blog: Post-Quantum Authentication: Up Next

Post-quantum key establishment has moved from standards into deployment. Post-quantum authentication has not moved nearly as far, and specification work is no longer the only constraint. The IAB is holding a workshop in Prague on 11 and 12 October 2026 to bring deployment experience together with the people working on the relevant protocols and standards.

Press Release: DigiCert Research Shows Quantum Security Deployment Remains Stuck Despite Enterprise Planning

DigiCert, a global leader in intelligent trust, today released findings from its second annual global survey on post-quantum cryptography (PQC), revealing that organizations are preparing for the quantum era but making little measurable progress toward deployment. Although 87% of organizations report they are planning, testing or implementing PQC initiatives, deployment has increased by just two percentage points since last year's survey. As a result, only 7% of organizations have deployed quantum-safe or hybrid cryptography across most of their digital certificates, underscoring how much work remains to transition from planning to implementation.
